Fundamentals

Yo.

This is where the low down goes to get down.

*Key Concept:
Understanding what The Hidden Files is about is going to start to clue you in on how much of a loser I am capable of being.

*Notes:
This is also where the come up comes to get up.

*Your Question:
"Well . . . what's it all about?"

*My Question to me (in my head so you can't hear it):
Let's see, what the best way to explain this?

*My Explanation to you:
"Let's look at it this way (sorry if I'm sounding pedantic [attributing dull questions to an imaginary reader isn't a very nice thing to do (especially as I'm very well aware of how real imaginary feelings can feel at times)]):

"In many computer programs you'll usually have more than one process running at any one time in the program. Often, there's a foreground process and a background process. The foreground process is responsible for taking care of most the things that the humans originally designed the program to do. So the foreground processes are the big shots, the rock stars, the talent. They get all the sex they can sex, all the drugs they can drug, all the money that money can buy. It's the life.

"The background process, however, often has a remarkably lower-key role than the foreground process of the program. This is because the background processes make sure that the basics, the essential elements, remain stable and continue to operate smoothly. It's true that the background processes might not get too much the glory, and they might not be as special and finely groomed as the foreground processes, but they understand the fundamentals.

"Or think about it this way: the background process makes sure the program keeps it's feet on the ground or else the high-faluting foreground process would probably go reaching for the stars and get itself into quite a few precarious predicaments; it's a well known fact to programmers that (historically speaking) the foreground's most common downfall, it's most frequent (and therefore most dangerous) tragic flaw, is it's unbridled ambition. You can't blame the foreground processes, it's just the way that the humans made them. The humans understand that the background processes are also needed."

I might be taking this too far. The main point is that this is a background process, a groundwork, the basis behind the Compartment: Code 7 Project. It's just making sure that there's something keeping the project in place, well-rooted and growing up strong, rather than just let it wonder off on some delusional quest for glory like an idiot.

So yeah.
